Murphy Company begins first major contract operation in the company's recent history by operating a facility for Sandoz Nutrition (now Novartis) in Minnetonka, MN.

Richard T. Murphy Jr. begins his first official day as a full-time associate of the E.L. Murphy Trucking Company.
7/1/1993
Murphy leases space in a Quebecor warehouse and starts its big growth effort in paper storage.

Due to the rising cost of leasing warehouse space, the Murphy Board of Directors begins discussion of building a new warehouse.

Murphy purchases land from BN Railroad in Fridley for construction of a new warehouse.

Anheuser-Busch Brewing Company sends Murphy Companies an official bid package for the Minneapolis Distribution Center project.

Representatives of Anheuser-Busch make their first tour of sites in Fridley, Brooklyn Park, Shakopee, Minneapolis, and Maple Grove for a proposed new Murphy warehouse.

Certificate of Occupancy issued for Northtown II. 
10/2/1996 
Representatives of Anheuser-Busch and Murphy sign a contract for Northtown II warehousing at the Mackall Crouse office. 
3/27/1997
The first formal meeting for a new Cummins/Onan Distribution Center in Fridley is held. The land for the new warehouse is to be purchased from Onan.

9/13/1997 

Construction of the Anheuser-Busch facility is completed. 

9/15/1997 

First inbound shipment of Anheuser-Busch product arrives at Northtown II. 
9/28/1997 
First outbound shipment of Anheuser-Bush product is shipped from Northtown II. 
9/4/1998
A major meeting with Cummins/Onan approves the concept of building Northtown III.

5/11/1999 

A closing is held for Murphy to purchase Onan land for Northtown III.

11/5/1999 

A Certificate of Occupancy is issued for the Onan building (Northtown III). 
3/9/2000 
Murphy's Northtown III warehouse wins City-Business' "Best in Real Estate Award" in the "New Industrial Development" category. 
7/21/2003  
ISO 9001:2000 Certification awarded to Murphy Warehouse Company at its main facility. Murphy is the first warehouse to have Total Quality Management System (TQMS)'s computerized Quality System. 
12/10/2003 
ISO 9001:2000 Certification officially awarded to Northtown I, II, and III warehouses. 
8/6/2003 
Minnesota OSHA informs Murphy Companies that it will be recommended for MnSHARP Certification. With this certification, Murphy becomes the 11th company in Minnesota to achieve this OSHA status. 
10/10/2004 
Murphy Companies celebrate 100 years of continuous business operations under the management of the members of a single family.
