In 1994, Murphy Warehouse Company installed a native prairie on one of its Fridley Campus locations. Today Murphy has two logistics campuses that have been planted with native prairies.
What does this mean for our customers? The added benefits of native prairies allow our customers, along with Murphy, to move forward becoming leaders in the industry and surrounding community. By aligning our keys to success with that of our customers, we can better serve our customers and work together to achieve goals efficiently and effectively.
These native prairies reduce the need for wasteful sprinkler systems, reduce runoff, and because of the deep root structure of native plants, provide excellent water infiltration to replenish the groundwater.
Not only have our prairies been cited as good examples of industrial design, we have saved over $829,000 at both facilities and installation ROI runs 1.28 years.
