For international shipments, both LCL and FCL, we operate a CES where U.S. Customs officials conduct inspections and clear them for import. We prepare products for inspection and sampling, whether it arrives by rail, truck or air. We also work closely with several government agencies: The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (CBP), The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), to name a few.
Midwest International Logistics Center (MILC)
Murphy is unique among all other regional logistics providers who receive international shipments requiring U.S. Customs inspections. We operate a General Purpose Foreign Trade Zone 119 (FTZ) on our Minneapolis logistics campus (MILC). In this Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) importers are able to fix problems before Customs entry is made in order to alleviate import concerns. Ours is the only privately held facility of this type in the region. The other FTZ in the area is located at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport.
Through MILC, our International Division, we specialize in international bonded warehousing and container freight station service.
